Foreshore Technologies Inc. was established in 1984 by Scott Christie, R.P.Bio. focusing on underwater surveys and inspections. The company offering included commercial diving services, environmental surveys as well as structural surveys.

Experts in marine operations, Foreshore utilize innovative equipment having created the Piezo-Electric Engineered Resonator (PEER) System in 1999 . The instrument is used to assist with marine borer detection and represented a move away from the less efficient magnetostrictive type of transducer in the market.

Continued growth saw the creation of an environmental consulting company – Balanced Environmental Services Inc. specializing in obtaining project approvals for projects located in or around the water.

Foreshore’s later amalgamation with Ocean Tech Inc. enables the company to provide a turnkey solution. Specialists in the design, manufacture, installation and maintenance of marine structures, Ocean Tech offer harbor support in the form of floats, gangways, pontoons and breakwaters.
