Development Permits

Balanced Environmental obtains Development Permits on behalf of proponents with projects located near a stream, lake, wetland or ocean.

Float Approvals

Construction of a dock structure with a wharf, gangway and float requires approval in British Columbia. Balanced obtains those approvals by performing the necessary habitat investigations followed by preparation of the appropriate application.

This includes surveying the site and drafting drawings of the proposed structures and water lots. Balanced has a team of biologist divers that have over 30 years of combined experience in performing field investigations.

Dredging Permits

Balanced examines sediment and soils for compliance with provincial and federal regulations and makes applications for Disposal at Sea for projects located in the marine environment.

Marina Expansion

Balanced has experienced staff having worked on the largest marinas in British Columbia including Gibsons Marina, Steveston Harbour, Port Edward, Rushbrook, Port Hardy, Ladysmith, Ford Cove, Campbell River, the Canadian Forces Base in Esquimalt and more.
