Senior Project Biologist

The Role

For the Project Biologist vacancy, the successful candidate will have a thorough knowledge of local environmental regulations and their application to a wide variety of projects in development, industrial, and government settings. The successful candidate will also be an effective communicator, proficient in preparing and reviewing reports that meet regulatory and client requirements. Have the drive to want to help with project management and driving the business forward.

Principal Responsibilities

Participation in and/or leading environmental field surveys/assessments
Environmental monitoring Support for company activities
Assist in project setup and coordination
Preparation of environmental survey/assessment reports, and regulatory review submissions

Basic Qualifications (required):

BSc in Biology or equivalent related field
BIT/R.P.Bio or eligible to apply
3+ years experience in environmental works
Experience working in the field and in remote locals in all conditions
Experience writing technical environmental reports
Experience preparing submissions for regulatory review
Valid BC Class 5 drivers licence
Strong proficiency in computer skills
A self-starter, who can work efficiently and effectively with minimal hand-holding
A positive attitude with the ability to be flexible
